Mobile, mobile, mobile. During the first two seasons of the Sounders FC, supporters began to move away from desktop computers in favor of mobile devices.

Working with the POP agency in Seattle, we were able to develop one of the most innovative club apps in the world. Fan surveys, focus groups and interviews led to the creation of a mobile app focused on Sounders FC matchdays.

Features include "The Pulse" a real-time polling of Sounders FC fans, news, roster, video and cached stadium services.

The much anticpated launch yielded one of the most well received team/club apps at the time. Reaching #11 in the iTunes App Store and near perfect fan rating were just some of the highlihgts.

After two successful seasons, it was time to improve Major League Soccer's most trafficked site.

Fan feedback and research yielded three requests - more content, better mobile optimization and segmented content.

In working with in house designers the new site launched in March 2011. The new design yielded a decrease in bounch rate of nearly 30%, and an increase in the time spent on the site of around 25 seconds.

Since the formation of the Sounders FC in late 2007, the club wanted to differentiate itself via digital media.

In an effort to bring the philosophy of "Democracy in Sports" to the digital world, SoundersFC.com was constructed to be the first professional soccer site with an integrated online community. Users have the ability to contribute content via forums, blogs, photos, videos and comments.

Through a partnership with Digitaria Interactive, the site was designed to showcase an ahead-of-the-curve brand via large imagery, portable video assets and aggressive revenue models.

When it came time to seat over 20,000 season ticket holders, our digital media and ticketing teams decided to bring the process entirely online and bridge the gap between a stadium community and online community.

The site was designed to allow season ticket holders to search for seats based upon the demographics of those seated in each section, rather than searching solely upon price and physical location.

The results for the project were impressive. The over 20,000 ticket holders seated with this technology created an energetic matchday environment by grouping like minded fans together for every Sounders FC home match.

With the launch of an expansion franchise, came the launch of an ecommerce portal in conjunction with SoundersFC.com

Proshop.soundersfc.com aimed at bringing an aggressive website design into an ecommerce venue. The new platfrom created a consistent user experience across two separate URLs and technology platforms.
